  • Imagen del cuadro "We Sail Today" de Matthew Ritchie, una de las obras que conforma la la exposición "El arte del Imperio: tres siglos de arte británico" que junto a "Arte en respuesta: Jorge Díaz Torres", será inaugurada mañana sábado en el Museo de Arte de Ponce en Puerto Rico. La pinacoteca puertorriqueña, una de las más prestigiosas del Caribe, busca con estas dos muestras despertar el interés entre un público variado con diferentes intereses. La exposición "El arte del Imperio: tres siglos de arte británico" recoge 84 obras entre pinturas, esculturas, obras sobre papel y fotografías, pertenecientes al fondo de obras del Museo de Arte de Ponce sobre ese país europeo y coleccionistas locales. La muestra, bajo la supervisión del español Pablo Pérez D'Ors, responsable de pintura europea del museo, presenta la evolución y vitalidad de trescientos años de arte británico, desde el siglo XVIII hasta nuestros días. -- / EFE
